In December of 2012, my husband and I packed our bags, got a dog-sitter and flew 20 something hours to arrive in Chennai, India. We immersed ourself in the culture with some resistance to the noise, smells, spices, tuk-tuks, and had an absolutely incredible time. Janet is headed back to India this December! He crossed our path on 12/21/2012 - Dan likes to think that there is great significance to this and he may or may not be right. If a Leopard crossed ones path in ancient Egypt, that person was thought to possess the highest of spiritual and holy qualities and their advice was sought by spiritual and political leaders. The Chinese have long regarded the Leopard as a great and mighty warrior. In Africa the natives believe that they are animal guides for the spirits of the dead, and help them to find their final resting place.

There are literally no words to express our sacred journey to Mt. Arunachala at Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, Sacred India...just gratitude and blessings to everyone who joined the adventure. OM, Janet Stone and sangha (good company!), bowing to all of you who shared this sweet experience.

The healing concert felt like we were going back to the womb!

Happily, we hosted a two-hour healing concert with Wah. It was a unique experience of lighting to create this feeling or bhav of space or akasha (in Sanskrit) and the mantas repeated, floating away.
This was a rare event for the community to participate in and we hope to share some more of Wah's teaching in the future.

July 2012 was hot with dj hyfi in the house! it was a journey into concentration through deep meditative grooves that blended neatly with the flow. ~ jai hyfi
We had the pleasure of hosting a visit with Ian Hyman (DJ Hyfi) is a Philly based DJ who has taken his art into the yoga studio to create a deep fusion of sound and movement. He spends most of his time on the road spinning for workshops, festivals and conferences around the nation, striving to create a fresh experience for people who love yoga. Finding inspiration from life on the road and the interesting collection of characters along the way, he shares his perspective on yoga through his turntables. Ian's DJ mixes are infused with a wide range of soulful electronic music, from deep ambient tunes to ecstatic rhythms of Jungle/DnB.

Did I foresee going to India with Janet and this amazing sangha?!? Maybe! It's OFFICIAL is we 'like' to say! India bound! A temple tour with my teacher and a chance to immerse myself, dip myself in the motherland. Blessed, humbled, grateful and cherishing every single moment.

Meghan and Heather Moore were there too!!! How amazing that other women from Reno were at the very same immersion. It was an opportunity to bond and connect during this sweet time in San Francisco.
